Hi, I’m Emily…

I started Florence Studios in 2019 after leaving a full time job as a Graphic Designer.

I’m lucky to work in an area where there’s some really talented creative freelancers, this has allowed me to build up a community of people to collaborate with on larger projects i.e photographers, copy writers, marketing professionals etc.

I approach design work strategically by unearthing the story of each business I work with, who their ideal customer is and what plans they have for the future.

Getting to the bottom of how the business needs to be represented and making sure we are appealing to the right customer are all essential ingredients to successful work and helping businesses grow.

Personally, I really enjoy working with people and getting to know them throughout the process. This helps us both feel excited about the project and massively influences the creative work which is unique to each client.

My work is naturally pretty minimal, I’m a big fan of removing things that are not important to the balance of a piece of work no matter if it’s a logo, website or poster design. Prioritising visual communication over decoration is important to me.
